George Daniel "Danny" Lynch, 50, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at his home. Born May 6, 1961, in Spartanburg, he was the son of Olin D. Lynch of Fairforest and Betty J. Steadings of Boiling Springs. Danny was a member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church, a welder, mechanical engineer, draftsman, and accomplished woodworker. Survivors include his three sons, Daniel Chad Lynch, Joseph Matthew Lynch, and Brent Daniel Lynch, all of Spartanburg; a sister, Cathy A. Lanford of Inman; and brother, Olin Darrell Lynch of Watertown, NY. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Reaseach Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
