Robert Q., III (Bob). Mr. Blakeney was born July 11, 1928 in Oklahoma City, Ok. to Lillian Hart Blakeney and Robert Q. Blakeney, Jr., who both preceded him in death. Bob died suddenly July 11, 1994. A longtime resident of Oklahoma City, he attended Oklahoma City Public Schools and graduated from Classen High School. Bob graduated with honors from Texas A&M University in 1949. He was an avid fan and supporter of his Alma Mater and a member of the Alumni Association. He received a commission in the United States Army upon graduation and served in the Army Reserve. Bob was associated in business with his father in the Blakeney Insurance Agency. Bob was a past member of the Bachelor's Club and Quail Creek Golf and Country Club. Bob is survived by two aunts, Helene Hart Blum of Lawton, Ok., Mrs. John B. Blakeney of Oklahoma City; and cousins, Gordon Dempsey of Richardson, Tx., Kathryn Engleman, Dallas, Tx., Volney Jones and Margaret Jones Savage of Oklahoma City, Ok.
