Widower of Julia E. Davenport Fetters, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Fetters, and by two sisters, Shirley Oakley and Verna Alagia. He was survived by his children, Julie Winter (Edward) and Nancy E. Lippincott; grandchildren, Jennifer McCann (Scott, Daniel Lippincott and Edward T. Winter (Trang); two great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dominick Alagia; and an extended family of relatives and friends. He was retired from Bergan Pine Hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Army (WWII). He was a member of the United States Army Band (Drum Major playing trumpet and French horn). He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians (Local 526). He was a former member of Rotary International. His funeral was held on August 20, 2012.
