SUNNY VIEW - Jewell Shehan Lynch, 82, of Sunny View, passed away
Tuesday evening, December 27, 2022 at Cleveland Pines in Shelby.
A native and lifelong resident of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late
Jesse Jake Shehan and Mary Jane Walker Shehan and wife of the late Jerry
Lynch who passed away in July of 2022. Mrs. Lynch retired from Sunny View
Elementary as a Kindergarten Teachers Assistant after 30 plus years of
service. She loved flowers and working on the farm with her husband.
Surviving are two sons, Bryan Lynch (Laura) and Dewayne Lynch all of Sunny
View; four grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Ansley and Heather; three great-
grandchildren, Charleigh, Evie Jewell and Callahan; one brother, Steve
Shehan (Leisha) of Columbus: two sisters, Judy Ruff (Bill) of Mill Spring and
Elizabeth Wahl (Lindsev) of Green Creek.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 1, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45
p.m. at Coopers Gap Baptist Church.

OBITUARY
SUNNY VIEW - Jerry Bryan Lynch, 82, of Sunny View, passed away, Tuesday
afternoon, July 12, 2022 at his home.
Born in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Reverend George Washington
Lynch and Rachel McGuinn Lynch. Mr. Lynch retired from Phelps-Dodge in Inman.
During his life, he farmed alongside his dad and was working on the farm, Lynch
Orchard, at the time of his death. Mr. Lynch served in the past as a board member of
Farm Bureau and was a member of Coopers Gap Baptist Church, where he served as
a Deacon in the past.
Surviving is his wife, Jewell Shehan Lynch; two sons, Bryan Lynch (Laura) and Dwayne
Lynch both of Sunny View; one sister, Jewell Huntsinger (Mike) of Sunny View; one
brother, Andrew Lynch of Lyman; one step-brother, William Rice of Asheville; four
grandchildren, Ashley (Trent), Amber (Phil), Ansley and Heather Lynch; two great-
grandchildren, Charleigh and Evelyn.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Coopers
Gap Baptist Church.
A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend Donald
Hollifield officiating.
