James Madison McDaniel, age 86, of Rutherfordton, N.C., died Monday, January 21, 2008, at White Oak Manor Nursing Home in Rutherfordton, N.C.
A native of Rutherford County He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He Served in the US Army during WWII and was a Charter Member of the Gilkey Ruritan Club and a member of Woodmen of the world. He was the son of the late Rector McDaniel and the late Sally (Lynch) McDaniel. and the widower of the late Joyce Lillian Pendergrass.
He is survived by his Daughter-Peggy M. (McDaniel) Saunders of Morganton, N.C. Sister-Elizabeth M. Hendrix of Rutherfordton, N.C. One grandson Cecil James (Jake) Saunders Morganton, NC
Interment will be at Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Union Mills, N.C.
