Obituary for Gloria Lynch Hembree
Gloria Lynch Hembree, 61, of Moore, SC, entered into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Born September 30, 1954, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of Nellie Satterfield Lynch of Spartanburg, SC and the late David S. Lynch.
Gloria was a 1972 graduate of Dorman High School and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She received many awards as a dedicated employee of Belk for 32 years.
Surviving is her loving husband of 41 years, Henry Charles Hembree; children, Wesley Hembree (Heather) of Spartanburg, SC, Jason Hembree of Roebuck, SC, and Bryan Hembree (fiancé, Janey Caughman and her daughter, Katie Caughman) of Moore, SC; grandchildren, Caden and Laura Hembree; sisters, Margaret Stewart (Ronnie), Pam Owens, and Lynn Cole; nieces, Crystal Warren (Sean) and Nicole Hall (Jim); nephews, Travis Hembree, Gregg Hembree (Kerri), Michael Cole (Tonya), Chad Owens (Julie), Derrick Cole, and Brad Owens (Darby); three great-nieces; and seven great-nephews.
Visitation will be 2:30-3:45 PM Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Richard L. Peters and the Rev. David S. Pickel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Brad and Darby Owens and Piedmont Hospice for the excellent care they provided during Gloria’s illness.
The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Heather Hembree.
