Obituary
Our memory of Sister Lucilla Lynch daughter of Norman Lynch born March 21st, 1853 and joined the Baptist Church of Christ at Rock Spring 13th of August 1868 & departed this life 17th Nov. 1873 age 20 years 7 months & 26 days. She was a consistent member and had an upright and Christian walk from her attachment to the Church up to her death. She was beloved by all with whom she moved in the circle of life. She has left behind a Dear Father, Brothers and Sisters and many friends who deeply mourn her loss, while death was snaring her in the fold she exemplified herself to be fully reconciled to death and called the family to her bedside and entreated them all to meet her in heaven. In the mist of life we are in Death, our sister in the bloom of life has fallen by the cold and resistless hand of Death. Therefore the mourners are in the Streets beside a good kind neighbors an an affectionate Sister is no more to be seen and met in the walks of this life, no more will the Church behold her person in the house of God where she so frequently met with them to worship with her. Gently and Godly deportment we are deprived of a pious Sister in Israel for which the tears flow down our cheeks. But oh why should we thus mourn when her soul is basking in eternal love, she can never come back to us again but we will strive to go where she is gone. Let us try to follow her example for blessed are they who die in the Lord.
Our pious Sister we no more see while in this veil of tears we be. But when this veil shall burst away, with her will shine in end life day.
