Biltmore Forest - Maude Nanney "Honey" Anderson, 99, of Biltmore Forest, went home to be with the Lord, peacefully, on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005.

Born on May 14, 1906, in Union Mills, she grew up in Jefferson City, Tenn., and was a daughter of the late John P. and Mary Lynch Nanney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John B. Anderson Sr., to whom she was married in 1935 at First Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tenn.

Mrs. Anderson attended Carson Newman College and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, AAUW, Lanier Club, Christian Women's Club, past president of Opti-Mrs., president of Aston Park Hospital Auxiliary and a member of Buncombe County Medical Society Auxiliary. She was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church and, at the time of her death, was a member of Arden Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three children, Mary Sue and John Temple of Knoxville, Janet and Don Creasman of Tyler, Texas, and J.B. and Cathie Anderson of Asheville; 11 grandchildren, John and Lisa Temple, Terri and Steve Peters, Susan and David Forsberg, Steve and Jill Temple, Scott and Lauren Creasman, Kelly and Jason Buckner, Ashley and Chris Odom, Jennifer Anderson, Stephanie and Frank Laughlin, Grace Anderson and Kate Anderson; 21 great-grandchildren, Holly and Nick Temple, Trent, Tatum and Tanner Peters, Rachel Taylor and Chandler Hale, Gunnar and Kristin Forsberg, Christopher Temple, Elisabeth, Kristy, Michelle and Lindsey Creasman, Holden, Hunter and Blake Buckner, Austin, Allison and Abby Odom; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Anderson and Grace Anderson; many loved nieces and nephews, Mary Nell Greer Johnson, Jim and Libby Hutchins Scruggs, Bobby and Cathy Hutchins, John and Kay Hutchins, Mary Nell and Dale Biehler, Larry and Becky Brown, Mary Jean and Joe Schariter, Jack Nanney III, Jim and Linda Nanney, Courtney and Kitten Nanney, Betty Cook, Jimmy Jones, Chip and Judy Anderson, Charlotte Anderson Straney, Jim and Ellen Anderson, Guy B.
