James Henderson Springfield, 82, of 5438-A Graystone Court died Thursday March 31, 1994.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Street chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
He was the former owner and operator of Springfield's Flowers for 33 years. He is a member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church, veteran of World War II, having served in Italy, Normandy and the E.T.O.
Surviving are wife of 64 years, Julia Mae Folk Springfield; son, Mark A. Springfield of the home, Michael Alan Springfield Sr.; daughter-in-law, Lucille Springfield; grandsons, Michael A. and Jamie Springfield all of Carolina Beach; sister, Grace Knight and brother-in-law, Harry G. Knight of Greensboro; foster sons, Timothy Jewett of Honduras, Russell Jewett of New Mexico, foster daughter, Linda Carswell of Colorado.
The family will be at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Street Funeral Home 7-9 tonight.
