Mrs. Barbara Clara Ledbetter Sitton age 70 of hendersonville went home to be with the lord on January 14, 2015.
She was born on June 2, 1944 to the late William Dan Ledbetter and Clara Mae Womack Ledbetter.She was also preceded in death by a brother, William Thomas Ledbetter. She was a native of Polk County and married Lonnie Lee Sitton in April of 1963 and moved to Hendersonville. She retired from Pardee Hospital after 37 years and was a member of East Flat Rock Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her friends and family, going to the beach and Maggie Valley.
In addition to her husband of over 51 years, she is survived by two children, Marsha Saltz and husband, Dwight; greg Sitton and wife, Rhonda; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sitton, Carson Saltz, Colby Saltz and Cayden Saltz; one sister, Reba Early of Nashville, Tn; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 2 PM Sunday at East Flat Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Neeland officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 12:30- 2 PM Sunday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life/ Elizabeth House, 581 South Allen Rd. Flat Rock, NC 28731.
