B. Margaret Smith, 82, of Kansas City, KS, died Sunday, October 31, 1999, at the Providence Place. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, at the Porter Funeral Home; burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Porter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was born January 27, 1917, in Kansas City, Ks, and had been a lifetime resident. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of Union Pacific Old Timers Aux. She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Smith, in 1984. She is survivied by two sons, Kenneth W. Smith, Wilmington, DE, and Paul M. Smith, Fort Collins, CO; a sister, Wilma Wetschensky, Kansas City, KS, five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. George Milton Smith, 67, Kansas City, Kan., died Monday at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Smith was a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad before he retired in 1979. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Kansas City, Kan. He was a member of the Union Pacific Old Timers Club and the Sunflower Golf Club. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Margaret Smith of the home; two sons, Kenneth Smith, Wilmington, Del., and Paul Smith, Chicago; two brothers, Clinton Smith, Little Rock, Ark., and Peter Sterling Smith, Falls Church, Va.; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Porter Chapel; burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel.
