Misc. Notes
Daughter of William David Thompson and Nancy Pack-Thompson or so I thought. New information is making it more and more clear they were most likely NOT the biological parents. Nancy Pack-Thompson was simply to young and Selena is not listed in David's will which specifically includes ALL his children. However they do seem to have raised her so I am going to say she is probably related in some way. Perhaps she was a niece, but that is mere speculation. At this time there seems to be no definitive evidence although several descendants continue to work on this mystery and we hope with DNA to get conclusive answers as to biological relatives.

Died between 1900 and 1904

While there was no wedding between her and Franklin Lynch it does appear he fathered her children. DNA confirms this repeatedly. They chose not to use his name with the exception of Otis Nelson Thompson who used the name Thompson until the death of his mother. He then migrated to SC and began using his Fathers last name "Lynch". He married using Thompson as well as three of his children. His oldest son Wesley would not take the name Lynch.
