GASTONIA - Harrill Lee Flack, age 79, of Driftwood Drive, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Posie and Getanna Flack.

Mr. Flack was retired as the manager of the A&P in Ruther-fordton, Retired from Harris Teeter in Gastonia, was a member of First Baptist Church of Rutherfordton and Gastonia, Past president of the Kiwanis Club of Rutherfordton, Former deacon at First Baptist in Rutherfordton and was a member of the masonic lodge in Rutherfordton. Mr. Flack was a US Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Katherine "Kitty" Carver Flack and a son Michael B. Flack

He is also survived by his wife: Elizabeth "Peggy" Burgess Flack of Gastonia; two daughters, Lee Annah Flack Trout and children Preston Trout and Julia Trout of Charlotte, Amy Flack Sowers and Husband Chris and daughter Zoƫ of Winston Salem; one stepson, Ricky Burgess and wife Karen and daughter Jessica of Mount Holly; daughter-in-law Sheila Flack and son Tyler of Charlotte; three sisters, Margaret Jones, Grassy Knob, NC and Gladys and Lib; one brother, Charles Conner, Grassy Knob,.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Cool Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Baughn officiating. Visitation will follow at the cemetery following the service.

Interment will be at Cool Springs Cemetery, Forest City, NC with military honors.

Memorials can be made to the Gaston County Hospice P.O. Box 3984 Gastonia NC 28054.
